Satellite Director - MacGregor
FULL-TIME – Fall, 2026

DESCRIPTION
Do you have a passion to serve today’s youth? Do you have a desire to use your skills in youth ministry and discipleship? Youth for Christ/Youth Unlimited Portage is hiring a Satellite Director for The Hub Drop in Centre in MacGregor, Manitoba!

The Satellite Director serves the youth of MacGregor and Area, engaging them in the vision of Youth for Christ—to see every young person and their community changed by God’s love—through evangelism, discipleship, and holistic care. The Satellite Director works alongside the YFC MacGregor Steering Committee, volunteers, and fellow YFC Portage and MacGregor staff. Ongoing support, training and mentorship will be provided. This role will support and be based out of The Hub Drop in Centre in MacGregor, Manitoba.

This full-time position reports to the Executive Director.

DIRECT MINISTRY EXPECTATIONS
1. Oversee the ministry of the MacGregor & Area YFC, ensuring the relational/discipleship evangelism of the youth is being accomplished.
2. Answers and reports to the local Steering Committee and the Executive Director in Portage.
3. Develop and implement effective programs in accordance with YFC’s core values.
4. Leading and assisting in the development of programs at The Hub Drop in Centre for junior high and high-school aged youth (for example: drop-in programs, in-school programs, discipleship ministries, and special events, after school supper club, etc.). Some evening programming may be required.
5. Recruit, coach and evaluate staff and volunteers.
6. Building community with local agencies/organizations.
7. One-on-one meetings with youth with genuine care for the whole person to introduce them to, and disciple them through, life with Christ.
8. Establishing and engaging in a ministry rooted in prayer.

SPIRITUAL & PERSONAL EXPECTATIONS
1. Pursuing an active and growing relationship with God, including a healthy active prayer life, membership at a local church and ongoing personal study.
2. Participating in training opportunities that would better equip you for the job.
3. Establish relationships for personal accountability and mentoring.
4. Be a self starter with a strong work ethic.
5. Have a passion to see youth and their families know and follow Jesus.
6. Completion of the YFC Canada Credentialing process within 2 years of start date.

STAFF & VOLUNTEER EXPECTATIONS
1. Lead in the recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers for youth programs and events.
2. Collaborating with staff and volunteers to find ways to enhance or create outreach, evangelism and discipleship efforts according to YFC/YU’s mission and vision.
3. Participating in staff training, and monthly meetings with Portage and area staff.
4. Involvement in fundraising events.
5. As this is a senior management position, it is expected that the involvement in ministry may extend beyond the standard 40-hour work week.

ORGANIZATIONAL & ADMINISTRATIVE EXPECTATIONS
1. Develop and operate within a steering committee-approved budget and process.
2. Being responsible for planning, and vision casting ministry and fundraising.
3. Represent the staff and programming before the steering committee and the steering committee before
the staff and volunteers.
4. Represent YFC publically at community events and seek ways of what the community is focussed on when appropriate.
5. Develop and implement a funding base strategy, including fundraisers to aid in keeping operations and programs financially viable.
6. Have leadership experience and skills and be comfortable leading youth and staff, as well as a team of volunteers.
7. A desire to be part of and work with a team.8. Keep records of all ministry activities and events and writing reports and/or stories describing the ministry as needed.
9. Building relationships with area churches, schools and ministries where applicable.
10. Making contacts with resource agencies in the area, striving to network with them whenever possible to support and create a strong program for Youth for Christ MacGregor and be able to make referrals.

PERSONAL PARTNER DEVELOPMENT
1. Personal partnership development, including securing and maintaining a sound base of financial and prayer partners to a level sufficient to fund the salary and immediate costs of this position.
2. Creating awareness of The Hub/Youth for Christ/Youth Unlimited programs and events in the community
to both youth and the population at large.
